In our opinion, there is not a more romantic and sacred synergy of quality oils on earth than Frankincense and Myrrh. Our herbal soaps are designed to be the most natural of soaps, using nature’s finest and most alluring ingredients. The blend between these two oils makes an amazing body bar of soap that’s great for both men and women. It’s spicy, it’s warm, it’s soothing, it’s smoky, it’s zesty, it’s pleasantly bitter and rustic. The resinous aroma of the Myrrh Essential Oil provides a tad bit of softness when mixed with the Frankincense Essential Oil and the two-oil blend tends to display a bit of camphorous notes making this a bar that also supports alertness.

Frankincense Essential Oil is an oil of the Burseraceae family and is derived from the resin of Boswellia carterii, Boswellia ferreana or Boswellia serrata trees and has purported use for anti-inflammatory of the skin. It is believed to promote stress relief, has anti-anxiety and anti-depressive affects. It makes a great addition to Beauvivo soaps because of its purported antibacterial and antimicrobial effects. Its antiseptic properties make it a great choice for natural hygiene and is believed to help reduce scars and blemishes. Its scent uplifts the mind and negates negative thoughts.

Myrrh Essential Oil is a very popular and thick oil extracted from the resin of Commiphora myrrha (aka Commiphoramolmol and Balsamodendron myrrha); which is also a tree of the Burseraceae family. No wonder it blends well with Frankincense. It is commonly found in African and Middle Eastern countries and has a long history of medicinal uses. Some of its active compounds are responsible for its expectorant properties (believed to relieve coughing and tends to open nasal passages while bathing), also its fungicidal, antimicrobial, and astringent capabilities. Because of its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, it is believed to provide acne relief along with minimizing the effects of eczema.

Keep in mind that for our Essential Oil Soaps, the scent is natural and will sometimes be softer than that of fragrance oils.

How to?

To make sure your soaps last as long as possible, make sure they are well ventilated and are completely dry in between use. Place your soap in a well drained soap dish or soap saver. 100% handcrafted natural Beauvivo soaps are a highly humectant formulation, so if you allow it to sit in or under water it will dissolve/melt.
